Biography

David was the son of Tho­mas Den­ham, a Bap­tist min­is­ter in east Lon­don.

He be­gan to preach when ve­ry young, and in 1810 be­came pas­tor of the Ba­ptist Church in Hor­sell Com­mon.

He moved to Ply­mouth in 1816, to Mar­gate in 1826, and in 1834 to the Bap­tist Church in Uni­corn Yard, Too­ley Street, South­wark.

Poor health com­pelled him to re­sign his post in Lon­don, and he stayed for a time at Chel­ten­ham and Ox­ford.
