David was the son of Thomas Denham, a Baptist minister in east London.
He began to preach when very young, and in 1810 became pastor of the Baptist Church in Horsell Common.
He moved to Plymouth in 1816, to Margate in 1826, and in 1834 to the Baptist Church in Unicorn Yard, Tooley Street, Southwark.
Poor health compelled him to resign his post in London, and he stayed for a time at Cheltenham and Oxford.
If you know where to get a good picture of Denham (head & shoulders, at least 200×300 pixels),
