Biography

Elderkin was the hus­band of Ma­ry Will­ard of El­mi­ra, New York. The mar­riage re­cord said he was from Ca­mil­lers, New York.

The cou­ple was liv­ing in Cook Coun­ty, Il­li­nois, in 1900 & 1910. By 1912, he was in Prince­ton, New Jer­sey, where he was an as­sist­ant pro­fess­or and pre­cept­or in art and ar­cha­eo­lo­gy at Prince­ton Uni­ver­si­ty. He was in Prince­ton un­til at least 1942.
