Biography

Engard was a min­is­ter. His Oh, Speak to Me, My Sav­ior was pub­lished in Phi­la­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia, in 1881.

We spe­cu­late he might be Jo­seph M. En­gard, who was a Me­tho­dist Epis­co­pal pas­tor in Tans­boro, New Jers­ey, in 1880.

In ad­di­tion, a Jo­seph M. En­gard wrote the words to In Me­mo­ri­am (on the Death of Ge­ne­ral U. S. Grant), 1885.
