Biography

Elsie was the daugh­ter of Sil­as Cor­y­don French and Mi­ner­va Min­er Waugh.

The Mu­sic News, Vol­ume 11, num­ber 12 (Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois: May 30, 1913), page 7, stat­ed French and Hen­ry W. Fair­bank had col­la­bo­rat­ed on the song Hum­ming­bird, which was to be per­formed at the Chi­ca­go Sun­day School As­so­cia­tion’s an­nu­al con­cert.

The ar­ticle men­tioned The Sol­dier Lov­er and Peace to the World as oth­er com­po­si­tions by these co-work­ers.
