Biography

Gade was the hus­band of Em­ma So­phie Ama­lie Hart­mann, the daugh­ter of Jo­han P. E. Hart­mann (mar­ried Ap­ril 27, 1852).

He was con­sid­ered the lead­ing Dan­ish mu­si­cian of his day.
