Biography

Fanny was the daugh­ter of Ed­ward Marl­bo­rough Fitz­Gerald and Char­lotte Ju­lia Jeph­son, and wife of Hen­ry Grat­tan Guin­ness (mar­ried Oc­to­ber 1860, Princ­es Meet­ing House, Bath).

Her fa­ther died when she was eight years old, and she was brought up by a child­less Quak­er cou­ple.
