Biography

Bartholomäus was the son of Jo­hann­es Held­er (1551–1621), rec­tor of the Gym­na­si­um Il­lus­tre in Go­tha (1582–1592), and lat­er Su­per­in­ten­dent and Court Preach­er in Go­tha.

In 1607, Bar­tho­lo­mäus be­came a teach­er and Kantor at Frei­mar. Then, from 1616 un­til his death, he served as pas­tor of Rem­städt, Nes­se­tal.
