Edward was the son of Thomas and Emily Husband.
He attended St. Aidan’s College, Birkenhead (school closed in 1970), and ordained an Anglican priest in 1866.
He served in Atherstone, Warwickshire (1866–72); as incumbent of St. Michael and All Angels, Folkestone (1881–1908); played the organ; and lectured on church music.
