Buried: St. Paul’s, Co­vent Gar­den, Lon­don, Eng­land.

Biography

After emi­grat­ing to Eng­land, Ja­co­bi was ap­point­ed Keep­er of the Roy­al Ger­man Cha­pel, St. James Pal­ace, around 1708, a po­si­tion he held the rest of his life.

Works

Jacobi is best known for his trans­la­tions of Ger­man cho­rales in­to English.
