Biography

Johannes mar­ried twice, to Lou­ise So­phia Von-Un­old (1872) and Pearl An­na Wal­lace (March 14, 1915).

He emi­grat­ed to Am­eri­ca in 1870, and be­came a Lut­her­an pas­tor, jail chap­lain, min­ister to the poor, and Bi­ble trans­lator. As of 1880, he was pas­tor of the Ev­an­gel­ic­al Lu­ther­an Church in Port Hur­on, Mi­chi­gan.
