Biography

McNaughton’s best known se­cu­lar work is The Fad­ed Coat of Blue, a song about cap­tured Un­ion sol­diers in the Am­eri­can ci­vil war.

A mo­nu­ment to Mc­Naugh­ton stands on the farm where he lived near Ca­le­do­nia.
