Biography

Millard was edu­cat­ed at Mag­da­len Col­lege School, then at Mag­da­len Col­lege, Oxford (BA in hon­ors 1845, MA 1848, DD 1859).

After tak­ing Ho­ly Or­ders, he served as:

• Cur­ate of Brad­field, Berk­shire (1846)
• Head mas­ter of Mag­da­len Col­lege School (1846)
• Fel­low of his col­lege (1853)
• Vic­ar of Bas­ing­stoke, Ham­pshire (1864)
• Can­on of Win­ches­ter, Hamp­shire (1882)

 He retired to Ox­ford in 1891.

Works

He con­trib­ut­ed a few hymns to the De­vout Cho­ris­ter, by T. F. Smith, and al­so pub­lished:
