Mohler was ap­par­ent­ly an el­der in the Unit­ed Breth­ren Church. He was liv­ing in Clin­ton, Mis­sou­ri, in 1881. He is prob­ab­ly John Say­lor Moh­ler (1831–1911), who is bur­ied in Quin­ter, Kan­sas.
