Biography

Moore’s fa­ther, also named Hen­ry, was a Pres­by­ter­ian min­is­ter in Ply­mouth, Eng­land.

Henry the young­er was edu­cat­ed at Phil­ip Dodd­ridge’s Aca­de­my at North­amp­ton.

He served as min­is­ter at Mod­bu­ry, Devon (1757–88), then at Lis­keard, Corn­wall.
