Died: June 26, 1906, while principal of Gladstone Avenue Public School, Toronto, Canada. The next morning the students wore maple leaves to school.
Buried: Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Canada.
Muir moved to Canada as a child, and earned his BA degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. He then taught school, mainly in the Toronto area.
