In 1904, Munsey bought the Byron Republican, an Oklahoma newspaper.
Copyright records indicate he was living in Geary, Oklahoma, as of 1907. By 1908, he was being referred to as Reverend,
Munsey, when he officiated at a funeral in Moscow Flats, Oklahoma.
By 1915, he was editor and publisher of the La Kemp Mirror in La Kemp, Oklahoma. Note: In 1919, Texas-Oklahoma state border was redrawn,and the town of La Kemp was renamed Booker, Texas.
