Biography

Nutter, a Methodist min­is­ter, gra­du­ate­d from the Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, School of Theo­lo­gy in 1871, the year in which the school merged with Bos­ton Uni­ver­si­ty.

The pre­face to his 1911 Hymns and Hymn Writ­ers in­di­cates he was in Ber­wick Park, Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, in 1911.

By 1913, he was teach­ing hym­no­lo­gy at Bo­ston Uni­ver­si­ty.
