Biography

Jason was the son of Al­bert Fran­cis Pierce and Re­bec­ca No­ble, and hus­band of Ma­ry Ger­trude Fairc­hield (mar­ried 1904).

He was edu­cat­ed at Am­herst Col­lege, Mas­sa­chu­setts (BA 1902), and Yale Uni­ver­si­ty, New Ha­ven, Con­nec­ti­cut (BD 1906).

He was or­dained a Con­gre­ga­tion­al min­is­ter in 1906, and served ma­ny pas­tor­ates, in­clud­ing:

Pierce was al­so on the staff of preach­ers at Am­herst, Smith, Mt. Ho­ly­oke, and oth­er col­leges.

He was a mem­ber of Chi Phi and Delta Sig­ma Rho fra­ter­ni­ties, and served as an ar­my chap­lain in World War I.
