Biography

Roberts was edu­cat­ed for the min­is­try at the Bap­tist Col­lege, Chil­well, near Not­ting­ham.

In 1874, be­came pas­tor of the Bap­tist church at Ret­ford, Not­ting­ham­shire. He lat­er served in Grims­by, and in West Vale, near Ha­li­fax, York­shire.

He then re­tired and en­tered bu­si­ness in Lu­ton.

While in West Vale, Ro­berts com­posed se­ver­al hymns for use on Sun­day school an­ni­ver­sa­ries.
