Biography

Carl was the hus­band of Aga­ta Ro­se­ni­us (mar­ried 1843, Umeå, Väs­ter­bot­ten, Swe­den).

Son of a rec­tor, he was ne­ver or­dained, but was an in­flu­en­tial Lu­ther­an preach­er.

He ed­it­ed The Pie­tist (1842–62), and made ex­ten­sive con­tri­but­ions there­to. Os­car Ahn­felt had a large role in po­pu­lar­iz­ing Ro­se­ni­us’ hymns.
