Biography

Robert was the son of Da­vid San­deman and Mar­ga­ret Ram­say, and hus­band of Ca­ther­ine Glas (mar­ried 1737). His fa­ther was a ci­ty ma­gis­trate in Perth (1735–63).

Robert was In­de­pen­dent min­is­ter, lead­ing a sect known as the Glass­ites or San­de­ma­ni­ans.
