Biography

George was the son of James and Mar­ga­ret M. San­di­son, and hus­band of Char­lotte Dal­las Bax­ter.

As of 1871, he was man­ag­ing ed­it­or of the Al­ba­ny, New York, Times. He al­so helped ed­it oth­er a­pers, and was a cor­res­pond­ent un­til 1890, and ed­it­ed the Chris­tian Her­ald.

He was one of the found­ers of the Chris­tian Her­ald Child­ren’s Home in Ny­ack, New York, and helped with re­lief ef­forts by the Chris­tian Her­ald in Ar­me­nia, Cu­ba, Rus­sia and Chi­na.
