Biography

Charles was the son of Will­iam Hen­ry Sco­ville and Ma­ry Dick­er­hoof.

He gra­du­at­ed from Tri-State Col­lege, An­go­la, In­di­ana (BS 1892) and Hi­ram Col­lege, Hi­ram, Ohio (AB 1897, AM 1898).

He then went in­to the ev­an­gel­ism field, but al­so helped found the Me­tro­po­li­tan Church in Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois.

He held ev­an­gel­ism cam­paigns ov­er­seas in 1900, in Aus­tral­ia in 1912, and through­out Am­eri­ca.
