Biography

George was the son of Jo­si­ah Tho­mas Sho­wal­ter and Sa­rah Ca­the­rine Va­den. He mar­ried twice, to Le­na Es­telle Ho­nea (Au­gust 1, 1900, John­son Coun­ty, Tex­as) and Wi­ni­fred L. Ma­son Moore Watts (1945).

He be­came ed­it­or and own­er of the Firm Foun­da­tion pub­lish­ers in 1908, and worked there the rest of his life.
