Biography

Harry was the son of Da­ni­el Pen­ny­bak­er Sho­wal­ter and Het­tie Es­ter Rohr­er. He mar­ried twice, to Sa­die Wea­ver (1914) and Me­lis­sa Wea­ver (1920).

Showalter was a farm­er most of his life, and owned a farm on Knopp Road in Co­lum­bi­a­na, Ohio, 1950–89.

He was a mem­ber of the Plea­sant View Men­non­ite Church.
