Biography

Joseph was the son of Jo­seph Smith, Jr., and Em­ma Hale Smith. He mar­ried three times: to Em­me­line Gris­wold (1856), Ber­tha Ma­di­son (1869) and Ada R. Clark (1898)​.

He served as the first pre­si­dent of the Re­or­gan­ized Church of Je­sus Christ of Lat­ter Day Saints.
