Biography

Phila was the daugh­ter of James J. But­ler and Er­mi­na Webb. She mar­ried twice: to Ro­bert West­lake Bow­man (1869–1931) and Her­bert Stan­ley Smith (?–1944).

She is re­mem­bered as po­et and con­trib­ut­or to va­ri­ous ma­ga­zines.
