All of Stough’s mu­sic that we have seen was pub­lished in Ohio.

We spe­cu­late he is Al­phe­us L. Stough (1858–1899), who was Sec­re­ta­ry of the Will­ard W. Whit­ney mu­sic pub­lish­er in To­le­do, Ohio, and is buried in To­le­do’s Wood­lawn Ce­me­te­ry.
