Biography

After or­din­a­tion as an Epis­co­pal min­is­ter, Wil­son be­came a mis­sion­ary to Lab­ra­dor, New­found­land.

Afterward, he was a pro­fess­or of clas­sics at Queens Col­lege, Wind­sor, No­va Sco­tia, and lat­er, rect­or of St. Mark’s Church, Mount Kis­co, New York.

After leav­ing St. Mark’s, he was li­ter­ary ed­it­or of the Church­man for ma­ny years. He was for­eign ed­it­or for the Li­ter­ary Di­gest (1904–14), trans­lat­ing ex­tracts from Span­ish, Ital­i­an, French and Ger­man news­pa­pers, and was one of the ed­it­ors of the Lib­ra­ry of Mo­dern Elo­quence.
