Biography

Yatman joined the New­ark, New Jer­sey, Con­fer­ence of the Me­thod­ist Epis­co­pal Church in 1883, and was re­cog­nized as a trav­el­ing preach­er.

In Au­gust 1901 he preached what be­came known as the Doll ser­mon to an au­di­ence of 3,000 in the Young Peo­ple’s Tem­ple in Ocean Grove, New Jer­sey.

He was liv­ing in Phi­la­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia, in 1900 and 1920.
