Biography

John was the son of Will­iam and Jean Hood, and hus­band of Sall­ie M. Wal­ton.

He ran a Gos­pel mu­sic pub­lish­ing bu­si­ness in Phi­la­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia. The firm be­gan as ear­ly as 1875, but went bank­rupt in the Great De­press­ion of the 1930s.
