Amazing sight: The Savior stands
And knocks at every door;
Ten thousand blessings in His hand,
For to supply the poor.
Behold,
He saith, “I bleed and die,
To bring poor souls to rest;
Hear sinners, while I’m passing by,
And be forever blest.
“Will you despise such bleeding love,
And choose the way to hell;
Or in the glorious realms above,
With Me forever dwell?
“Not to condemn your sinking race,
Have I in judgment come;
But to display unbounded grace,
And bring lost sinners home.
“May I not save your wretched soul
From sin, from death and hell?
Wounded or sick, I’ll make you whole,
And you with Me shall dwell.
“Say, will you hear My gracious voice,
And have your sins forgiv’n?
Or will you make a wretched choice,
And bar yourselves from Heav’n?
“Will you go down to endless night,
And be forever slain,
Or dwell in everlasting light,
Where I in glory reign?
Come now, dear soul, before I go,
While I am passing by;
Say, will you bow to Me, or no?
Say, will you live or die?
