Be strong! the comÂmand still is ringÂing,
Be strong for the cares of the day;
Be strong to do right when tempÂtaÂtions asÂsail,
Be strong when the clouds dim the way.
Refrain
Be strong and heed the proÂmise!
Fear not, but go forth unÂdisÂmayed;
Be strong, and of good courÂage;
Have faith! be not afraid.
Take courÂage! the world now is waitÂing
For men with the courÂage who dare
To stand for the right and to strike with their might
All evÂil which seeks to enÂsnare.
Refrain
Fear not, for God’s proÂmise is for them
Who trust Him to guide evÂery day;
His hand leads the way thro’ the darkÂness of night;
Trust Him, and no foe can disÂmay.
Refrain
Our God shall go with us, and guide us
In ways dark, or paths bright and clear;
Wherever we go, He will keep us from harm;
With Him there is noÂthing to fear.
