Of Christ the Lord;

Who came on earth to dwell—
The Son of God.

He came, a lit­tle child,
Sinless and un­de­filed,
Our hearts to win;
In man­ger low was laid
That no­ble, king­ly head;
The sac­ri­fice was made
To van­quish sin.

Now, kneel­ing at His feet,
The Christ Child hum­bly greet,
His praise pro­long;
Well might that sweet birth night
With ra­di­ant stars grow bright,
When Christ came down in light,
With an­gels’ song.
