Christ is coming,
O, ye children,
Listen to the mesage true;
If you would be waiting, ready,
’Tis today He calls to you.
Long ago He came as Jesus,
Son of Man,
so humble, mild,
And while here on earth He uttered,
Words so sweet to every child.
Let them come, the little children,
Unto Me, do not forbid,
In His arms He took and blessed them,
As the crowd He sat amid.
And this Friend of all the children,
Died to save each girl and boy;
Some day soon again He’s coming—
Clap your hands and sing for joy.
By His dying He redeemed you,
Lift your hands to Him in prayer;
In His love He’ll fold and keep you,
Thank Him for His tender care.
Christ is coming,
shout Hosanna,
Let your happy voices ring.
Praises loud and glad and holy,
Give to Him, the coming King.
