Where would my tears and sor­row find relief?
What oth­er heart like Yours so full of love?
You are my con­fi­dence, You and You alone,
None oth­er reigns above.

Had You not loved me first, be­fore cre­ation,
My stub­born heart would not have sought Your grace;
You searched me out, and in Your mer­cy took me
Into Your fond emb­race.

Now, from the bot­tom of my soul I thank You,
For the eter­nal plan to give me rest,
Fellowship, life for­ev­er through the cross;
Your child is tru­ly blessed.
