We follow Christ, the fearless youth
Who challenged hoary doubt and wrong;
Yet seized no weapon but the truth,
And bade life blossom into song!
To babes, God’s kingdom He revealed;
And in the midst He set a child.
The troubled minds of youth He healed;
To power transformed their passions wild.
He called apostles from the young;
And thro’ the ages kindles still
The ardor of the youthful tongue
To voice the summons of God’s will.
In Him the old are born anew;
So ever shall our souls aspire;
And shattering the things untrue
Remold earth nearer His desire.
