Now Thy Spir­it’s pow­er ex­ert,
Now my un­be­lief con­trol,
Purify and calm my heart.

Master, at Thy feet I wait
Thy re­viv­ing voice to hear:
Raise me to my first es­tate,
Show Thy­self the Fini­sh­er,
Perfect what Thou hast be­gun,
And when all my griefs are past,
And when all my work is done,
Glorify my soul at last.
