When wearisome moments abide,
And burdens are heavy to bear,
Tell Jesus whatever betide,
And ask Him to lighten your care.
Refrain
Oh, bear not your burdens alone,
To Jesus, your Savior, repair.
And let your petitions be known,
There’s wonderful virtue in prayer.
If sin has beclouded your way,
Forget not your Rock and your Shield,
But go unto Jesus and say,
Dear Savior, I come to be healed.
Refrain
His ear will attend to your cry,
His eye neither slumbers nor sleeps,
His love will your spirits supply,
His children in safety He keeps.
Refrain
Then trust Him for mercies to come,
Nor yield to temptations severe,
He’ll lead you in peace to your home,
And wipe from your eyes every tear.
