Introduction

Biography

John was the son of Sam­uel Brunk and Su­san­nah Hart­man, and hus­band of Ma­ry Kath­ryn Mar­tin.

A mem­ber of the Men­non­ite de­no­mi­na­tion, he at­tend­ed the New Eng­land Con­ser­va­tory of Mu­sic in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts.

He taught mu­sic at the West Cen­tral Aca­de­my, Mt. Clin­ton, Vir­gin­ia, and Bridge­wa­ter Col­lege, Bridge­wa­ter, Vir­gin­ia. He al­so head­ed the School of Mu­sic at Go­shen Col­lege, Go­shen, In­di­ana.
