Biography

After stu­dy­ing his­to­ry at High­bury Col­lege, Lon­don, Con­der be­came co-pas­tor of High Wy­combe Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church in 1845.

In 1849, he suc­ceeded Win­ter Ha­mil­ton as min­is­ter of Bel­grave Chapel in Leeds, Eng­land. While in Leeds, he helped com­pile the Leeds Hymn Book in 1853; he pub­lished an ap­pendix to it in 1874.

He moved to Chee­tham Hill, Man­ches­ter, in 1864, and Queen’s Road, For­est Hill, Lon­don, in 1870.
