Biography

Haywood lived most of his life in In­di­an­apo­lis, In­di­ana.

He was the on­ly pro­mi­nent black Pen­te­cost­al preach­er in the Fin­ished Work branch of the move­ment, which be­came the As­sem­blies of God and the Pen­te­cost­al Church of God.

He ev­en­tu­al­ly be­came as­so­ci­ated with an un­or­tho­dox group that de­nied the Tri­ni­ty and left the As­sem­blies of God for the Pen­te­cost­al As­sem­blies of the World, where he be­came the first pre­sid­ing bi­shop.
