Biography

Ella was the daugh­ter of Will­iam W. Boy­den and El­iza­beth S. Ro­gers, and wife of James A. Miles.

A memb­er of the Ad­vent Chris­tian de­no­mi­na­tion, she be­gan writ­ing po­ems and hymns at age 15.
