Biography

Prudentius (whose name is some­times shown with a pre­fix of Mar­cus), was evi­dent­ly born in­to the up­per class.

After work­ing as a law­yer, he served a judge. At age 57, he re­tired and be­gan to write sacr­ed po­et­ry.
