Turle was a chorister at Wells Cathedral (1811–13), and was articled to J. J. Goss (uncle of John Goss).
He played the organ at Christ Church, Blackfriars (1819–29); St. James, Bermondsey (1829–31); and was assistant at Westminster Abbey, serving as organist and master of the choristers (1831–75).
