The Lord is my good shepherd;
I shall not be in need.
He leads me to the pastures
Where I may safely feed.
He leads me by still waters,
So I a drink may take,
In paths of righteous living,
All for His good name’s sake.

Though I may walk through valleys
Of danger and of strife,
I fear not any evil,
For He will guard my life.
His shepherd’s staff will guide me,
And comfort to me bring,
And of His loving kindness,
I will forever sing.

He sets for me a table
Before my angry foes,
And with the oil of gladness,
My heart now overflows.
His goodness and His mercy
Shall surely follow me.
I’ll dwell within His presence
For all eternity.
