Born: Au­gust 30, 1874, Ed­in­burgh, Scot­land.

Died: De­cem­ber 30, 1915, on the steam ship Ko­ro­na, while go­ing to a Ca­rib­be­an ho­ney­moon with his wife Ann.

Buried: At sea.

Biography

Allan was the son of Ira San­key and Fran­ces Vic­to­ria Ed­wards. He marr­ied twice, to Fran­ces Wann (1899) and Ann Un­der­hill Mei­ghan (1915).

He stu­died ci­vil en­gin­eer­ing and ar­chi­tec­ture at Prince­ton Uni­ver­si­ty, gra­du­at­ing in 1897.

In 1898, he be­came pre­si­dent of the Big­low & Main mu­sic pub­lish­ers in New York Ci­ty. He al­so served as vice-pre­si­dent of the Leeds and Cat­lin Pho­no­graph Com­pa­ny, and on the Ad­vi­so­ry Board of the Green­ich [sic] Bank.
