Biography

John was the hus­band of Ann Ma­ria Stock­ton.

Converted at a Me­tho­dist camp meet­ing in Pauls­bo­ro, New Jer­sey, he was or­dained in 1832, and served in the New Jer­sey Con­fer­ence of the Me­tho­dist Epis­co­pal Church. He was known as an ac­tive ev­an­gel­ist.
