Biography

Robert was the son of Har­bi­son Mc­Neill and Su­san­nah More­ton, and hus­band of Em­ma A. Mc­Neill.

He taught voice cult­ure at Al­bi­on Col­lege, Al­bi­on, Mi­chi­gan, in the late 1800’s. In Feb­ru­ary 1901, he be­came head of the Mu­sic De­part­ment at God’s Bi­ble School, Cin­cin­na­ti, Ohio, where he re­mained for the next 36 years.

He is re­mem­bered as a tal­ent­ed sing­er, pi­an­ist and or­gan­ist. His por­trait was hung in God’s Bi­ble School, where the mu­sic stu­dio was named the Ro­bert E. Mc­Neill Mu­sic Stu­dio.
